During his/her iter studiorum, the University
of Ecoforum for Peace student has to approach the fields of peace
end ecological sciences . This because only through the application
of these disciplines, it will be possible - for the future executives
- to face with sensibility and with full acknowledge of the facts,
the harmony on planet Earth.
That is what of the University of Ecoforum for Peace aspires to,
through the institution of study programs intended to the acquisition
of the following academic degrees:
- Associate of Arts - Master of Arts
- Associate of Science - Master of Fine Arts
- Bachelor of Arts - Master of Science
- Bachelor of Fine Arts - Doctoral Degree
- Bachelor of Science - Ph.D. Degree
- or equivalent European academic degrees.
We live in a "use and throw away" era. Waste is not
even sparing academic institutions. Just think about costs of
an academic laboratory, which - of course - has to be working
in every single university. If this laboratories would be placed
only where strictly needed (in specialized faculties/universities),
the society could invest this enormous amount of save of money
in researches, with great benefits for humankind. UEP want to
stop this waste, due to some "top brass of the scientific
faculty" that estimate their prestige according to the huge
amount of money received from the State, therefore from the community.
UEP wants to renounce - even if we could have this possibilities
- to the megalomania that we find in the universities' economy.
UEP wants to choose for a teaching philosophy born in ancient
Greece, where the interaction between tutors and students are
the key point of the scientific growth. Students' experiences
made from mere tutoring and laboratories, will be held in other
academic institutions. Actually, UEP will do its best in order
to facilitate academic exchanges, through the drafting of "Agreements
of scientific cooperation", remaining however the main reference
for its own students.
For UEP enrolled students, the objectives are based on the following
Study methodology:
1. Independent Study (monitored by a Study Committee);
2. Attendance to courses, seminars, work and research groups at
Universities associated with UEP (optional);
3. Attendance to laboratories at Institutes associated with UEP
(optional).
The student can choose his/her own "professors" who
will guide him/her through the Study program. The student will
submit to the Dean of Faculty the members of his/her Study Committee
(a President and two Assistants).
The Dean of Faculty (see also "Student's Vedemecum) is a
well known scientist; Assistants are graduated in the student's
chosen faculty. Obviously the Dean of Faculty has the right to
decide about the adequacy of the Committees. In case the student
is not able to form his/her own Study Committee, the regional
UEP Corresponding Office will suggest a suitable Committee. In
some cases the Study Committee can be substituted by a permanent
Academic structure (Campus).
If you were going to look for a large scientific complex at the
UEP's you would be disappointed: in addition to having a small
number of local students, the Universities has the duty of co-ordinating
the activities among the Study Committees, the associated universities
and the Deans of Faculties. Ali the above is done with the ecological
goal of minimal waste and maxima! use of the existing resources.
Nel corso della propria formazione, lo studente
dell'Università di Ecoforum for Peace, (University of Ecoforum
for Peace) deve incontrare le scienze ecologiche e le scienze
della pace, poiché solo attraverso l'applicazione coerente
di queste discipline, sarà possibile ai futuri quadri dirigenti
affrontare con sensibilità e cognizione di causa l'armonia
del pianeta Terra.
